Reiki is a Japanese form of alternative medicine called energy healing. Reiki practitioners use a technique called palm healing or hands-on healing through which a "universal energy" is said to be transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the patient in order to encourage emotional or physical healing. One tunes into the universal energy and draws it through to channel healing energy to self, others, animals, plants, etc.

The healing love of Reiki is a metaphysical teaching, which started in the early 1900s but has taken a new turn by empowering the student rather than having them look towards the Reiki master for constant direction. The guidance received focuses on developing the gifts held within the student. Reiki creates a space where one can be aware of the situations at hand and be neutral to the outcome. As the practitioner develops their skill, energy can be adjusted for the highest good for all.

This can include but not limited to; moving clogged traffic patterns, calming disturbing conversations, easing tension, relieving stress and eliminating pain and often dis-ease.

When we heal at the deepest level we heal through love and ultimately it is self love which makes this occur.

When a disease is healed it can be due to the doctor, the medicine or sheer determination by the patient to get better. All of these stem back to love, at some level the patient loved themselves enough to allow the healing to occur. Just because a patient dies does not reflect failure by anyone or anything. The truth of the matter is, no one gets out alive, we all die and we choose how. Reiki will make the chosen process more palatable.

Reiki is a process which lightens the load so to speak. It channels love into the body in such a way that the client can make the changes necessary to move on with their life in a gentle and compassionate way. The process is so calming that one may feel like they are getting a massage on the inside of their body as energies move in such a way that it can be unexplainable yet one knows something different is happening.

The client lies on a table, fully clothed and the practitioner places their hands directly on the body, the healing light if guided to the place it is needed the most in the body by the clients higher self.
